76.The goose.

                William sat on his house's stair case.  There was a goose passing by.  William thought that the goose would make a tasty meal.  So, he took a sharp knife with him to kill the goose.  The goose was not that easy to catch.  The goose ran away when William tried to catch it.  William managed to corner the goose among some bushes but it decided to fight back.  There was a big fight inside the bushes.  At last, the goose won the fight.  It bit William in many places and a part of William's shorts.  So, an ashamed William had a fish as a combination for the afternoon meal.  The goose was nothing but trouble.  It is better to leave it alone.

75.The bag.

                   A lady was walking with bundles in her hand- one cover full of vegetables and fruits, another cover full of stationary items, one box full of chocolates and her hand bag.  She has just done her shopping.  On the way, her hand bag fell on the pavement.  The lady did not notice it and was walking straight away to her car.  Her car was far away.  Raja noticed the bag lying down on the pavement.  He called out to the lady.  The lady did not hear him.  So, Raja ran to the lady to give her the hand bag.  The lady was surprised to see Raja with the hand bag.  Raja gave away the hand bag to the lady.  The lady smiled and thanked Raja.  Raja smiled back, waved goodbye and continued on his way.
   

74.ஈ.

                  ஒரு நாள், அமித் ஒரு புத்தகம் வாசித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான்.  அப்போது, ஒரு ஈ அவன் படிப்பின் நடுவில் வந்துத் தொல்லை செய்தது.  தொல்லைத் தாங்காமல், அமித் அந்த புத்தகத்தை சுருட்டி, அந்த ஈயின் பின்னால் அதை கொல்ல ஓடினான்.  புத்திசாலியான அந்த ஈ, அமித்தின் அப்பாவின் தலையில் போய் உட்கார்ந்தது.  அவன் அப்பாவோ, ஒரு கோபக்காரன்.  அமித், அவன் அப்பா இருப்பதை காணாமல் அவன் அப்பா தலையில் அடித்தான்.  வலி தாங்காத அவன் அப்பா, அமித்தை நோக்கி அவன் கையிலிருக்கும் புத்தகத்தை வாங்கி, அவனை அடிக்க அவன் பின்னால் துரத்தி ஓடினார்.  புத்திசாலியான அந்த ஈ, ஐந்து நிமிடத்திர்க்கு பிறகு அதன் வீட்டை நோக்கிப் பறந்தது.

70. The dog

               Once, two naughty boys, Saral and Mrithul were on their ways back home when they saw a dog sleeping under a tree.  It was tied to the tree with a chain.  The naughty boys planned to trick the dog.  Saral threw many sharp things on the dog while Mrithul made silly jokes and faces.  With the disturbances, the dog woke up and started pouncing on the two boys.  However, the chain could not break and the dog could not hurt the two boys.  They moved a little back.  The dog tried to break the chain, but it could not do so.  It tried harder and harder and at last, the chain snapped and the dog ran to catch them.  The laughing boys turned afraid and ran for their lives.  For their luck, there was a tree nearby.  Both climbed into the tree.  The dog was barking at them till it was tired enough to get away.





       

69.இயற்கை

               ஒரு ஊரில் அழகான பூக்கள், மரங்கள், விலங்குகள், பறவைகள் மற்றும் அழகான வண்ணத்துப்பூச்சிகள் இருந்தன.  அதை பார்த்தால் கண்களுக்கு அலுப்பாகவே இருக்காது.  ஒரு நாள், அங்கே நிலச்சமன் செய் பொறிகளும் எந்திரங்களும் வந்தனர்.  அந்த எந்திரங்கள் அந்த அழகான இயற்கையை சுத்தம் செய்தனர்.  அவர் சுத்தம் செய்தபின், ஒரு செடியோ அல்லது மரத்தையோ காணவில்லை.  இப்பொழுது அந்த இடத்தில், உற்பத்திச் சாலைகளுடைய புகைகள் நீல ஆகாசத்தை மறைக்கின்றது. 

68.The power fuse.

                          Arun was studying in his room.  He had put lights in every room.  Suddenly, when he was about to open his Maths book, there was a fuse in his room.  So, Arun, angrily went and bought one new bulb to replace it in the old one's  place.  He turned off his room's light switch.  He turned off every light in rooms which he was not using.  Arun carefully removed the broken bulb and replaced the new one in its place.  Then he switched on the light switch in his room.  Luckily, the light shone brightly.  So, Arun was able to study. 

                

67. கடற்கரை

                         ஒரு நாள், காவ்யா, ஈஷ்வர் மற்றும் அவர்களின் அம்மா அப்பா மரினா கடற்கரைக்குச் சென்றிருந்தனர்.  காவ்யாவும் ஈஷ்வரும் அவரின் அப்பாவும் கடலில் குளித்தனர்.  அவரின் அம்மா ஒரு தென்னை மரத்தின் அடியில் உட்கார்ந்து அவர் குளிக்கிறதை கண்டு கொண்டிருந்தனர்.  காவ்யாவும் ஈஷ்வரும் மணல்வீடு உண்டாக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தனர்.  திடீரென, அலை வேகமாக வந்து அவருடைய மணல்வீட்டை அழித்தது.  காவ்யா அழுதாள்.  ஈஷ்வர் கோபமாக அலையை நோக்கி நின்றான்.  காவ்யா அழுரதை கண்ட அவளுடைய அம்மா அப்பா, காவ்யா, ஈஷ்வர், இருவருக்கும் ஐஸ்க்ரீம் வாங்கிக் கொடுத்தார்.

65.பலூண்

                  ஒரு நாள், கிருஷ்ணனுடைய அப்பா அவனுக்கு ஒரு பலூண் ஊதிக் கொடுத்தார்.  கிருஷ்ணன் அதை பிடிக்கப் பார்த்தான்.  அவனுக்கு அது முடியவில்லை.  அவன் நன்றாக முயற்சி செய்தான்.  ஐந்து-ஆறு தடவைகளுக்கு பின் ஒரு முறை அவன் அந்த பலூணைப் பிடித்தான்.  அவன் அதை வாய்க்குக் கிட்டே கொண்டுவரும்போது, அந்த பலூண் அவன் வாயில் வெடித்தது.  கிருஷ்ணன் நன்றாக அழுதான்.  

                   

64.புகை

                                                            
                ராஜீவ் என்ற எட்டு வயது பைய்யன், ஒரு மரத்தின் கீழ் ஓய்வு எடுத்துக் கொண்டு இருந்தான்.  அப்பொழுது, அவனுடைய அம்மா வந்து அங்கே மூட்டையாய் கிடந்த இலைகளை பெருக்கி ஒரமாய் கொண்டுபோய் எரிக்க சொன்னாள்.  ராஜீவும் அதே போல அந்த இலைகளை பெருக்கினான்.  ஆனால், அதை அவன் அவனுடைய வீட்டின் முன்னால் கொண்டுப்போய் எரித்தான்.  தீயின் புகை வீட்டிற்குள் சென்றது.  அவன் அம்மா வீட்டின் வெளியே வந்து,”நான் உன் கிட்டே ஓரமாய் தானே இலைகளை எரிக்கச் சொன்னேன்.  ஏன் வீட்டின் முன்னால் எரித்தாய்?”, என்று கேட்டாள்.

63.The football fight.

                                               A foot ball match was coming nearer.  Midhun, the striker, headed towards the opponents' goal with the ball on his feet.  Arjun, the defender of the opposing team, tried to stop Midhun from heading the goal.  He pulled Midhun's jersey's collar.  Midhun turned back and pulled Arjun's collar.  Like that both of them beat each other and they started fighting.  Suresh, the referee, came running with his blowing.   He said both of them to get out of the football field an hour.  What both of them got was a torn jersey and a black eye each.
                        

62. A small fish.

                                    

One day, two fishermen named Vinod and Manoj were fishing.  They were close friends.  They fished while sitting in a boat.  The boat was floating in a river.  Suddenly, something jerked up and down indicating that a fish has hanged in the hook.  He stood up in excitement for catching the fish, but for his bad luck, the boat fell backwards.  Both, Vinod and Manoj fell into the river.  Vinod got his hat ruined while Manoj got was only a very tiny fish.             

61.The elevator.

                                       

                                Mr. John waited for the elevator to come.  The elevator came soon.  When the door opened, there was a blast of air and a sweet music.  When he was about to enter the elevator, a crowd of people rushed into the elevator.  An old woman pushed John aside and went.  But when the elevator door was about to close, John struggled and somehow managed to get in.  He had his tie very tight.  So, he decided to loosen his tie.  When he reached 10th floor, John rushed outside.  He decided that he shouldn't go in the elevator where many people are in. 

60. The hardworking farmer.

                   It was a very sunny day.  The sun beat down on the farmer tilling his land.  He ploughed his land and sowed maize seeds.  The farmer took care of it and watered it daily.  After some days,  plants grew where he sowed the seeds.  Again, he took care of it and watered it regularly.  After a month, the plants grew as trees.  Many maize grew in it.  The farmer plucked out all the maize and gave it to his wife.  She cooked the maize in a big pot.  She hanged out all the uncooked maize and waited for customers to come and buy the maize she had cooked.

59.The reckless driver.

                                 Mughil was a daredevil on his motorcycle.  He drove it very fast.  He bent his knees in every corner like the riders shown in T.V. till his knee scratches the road.  He wore a safety-helmet and slippers, which were not safe for the feet.  Mughil would not mind if there are any vehicles or walkers infront of him, he would just dash off.  Some times, an accident occurs.  It would kill many walkers or people inside the vehicles.  But, he would somehow manage to escape from the accidents.  Once, there were many pits in the road.  So, when Mughil tried to bend in one corner, his motorcycle fell into a pit.  The vehicle dashed away by its own and Mughil dashed from the motorcycle and bashed into a tree.  That was the end of Mughil.  Today also near his grave, the thing left is a marker which means, a sign for reckless drivers like Mughil.

58. Wet for nothing.

                            Rahul was a greedy boy.  One day, when he was taking his evening stroll, he saw a ripe mango hanging from a mango tree.  So, he got hold of the branch but could not reach the mango.  So, he moved some more front.  The branch wasn't able to hold on Rahul's weight.  The branch broke and he fell into the river below.  He was able to cope with the river, as the water was not too deep.  When he lifted the mango from the river, he found that the ripe mango was full of worms.  Rahul learnt a lesson,"Do not be greedy."
