292. Mouse Overboard!

In this story, Geronimo’s grandfather’s friend, Secretary Rattio tells that Geronimo is the descendant of the famous explorer, Vasco Da Gama.  So, Geronimo, Thea, Trap, Benjamin and Bugsy Wugsy dress like Vasco Da Gama and they set sail in a ship named Sao Gabriel.  The secretary tells that a saboteur is in the ship who is trying to sabotage the ride.  They do a lot of research and find out TWO saboteurs : A girl who says that her great – great – great – great grandfather was Vasco Da Gama’s official cook.  So, Geronimo makes her the official cook of the ship.  The other saboteur was Sally Ratmousen!  She dresses herself as Cabin Officer 1.  She does not want Geronimo to enjoy his victory so she tries to push him off the ship, cuts the lifeboat in which he was sitting, etc.  Geronimo loyal friend, Almouse helps him to find the Saboteur.  But, at last, the secretary says that Geronimo was the descendant of a famous writer and not Vasco Da Gama.  So, Geronimo gives a lecture about the famous book of his ancestor and comes back to New Mouse City.  This was a nice book.

291. The treasure of Easter Island.

In this story, Geronimo Stilton’s sister, Thea Stilton goes searching for a treasure in an island called Easter Island.  She sends a clue to Geronimo in the shape of a map.  So, to find her, Geronimo, his professional photographer Susie, his cousin Trap and his adventurous friend Wild Willie go to Easter Island which is in a place called Rapa Nui.  There a friendly rodent named Vaitea welcomes them and introduces them to that place.  They, at first do not Vaitea about the treasure, but afterwards, Vaitea finds out that they are here for something and asks them what the matter is.  Geronimo tells Vaitea about the treasure and his lost sister.  Vaitea also helps them.  They cross each clue correctly and come to a bubble – shaped cave.  There, they find out that a scientist and Thea are captured by a group of pirates.  Without the pirates’ knowledge, Geronimo and his friends free the both.  Then they escape and find out the real treasure.  The treasure was seven boats which belonged to Vaitea’s ancestors who first found the island.  Trap Stilton, who wanted to have the treasure all to him began crying when he saw the boats.  Then they leave the boats where they belonged to and come home.  This was a nice book.

290. The prince's emerald.

This story was about the Thea Sisters coming to our country, India.  Their friend, Ashvin called them there to solve a problem.  The Maharajah of Chennai was coming there and his son, who had put on the Maharajah’s turban which had a bright emerald, had lost it.  It happened like this: the Thea Sisters had gone to Chennai which is in India.  There, they wore nice colourful saris which suited them.  Colette wore a pink and light blue sari, Nicky wore a green sari, Pamela wore a red sari, Paulina wore an orange sari and Violet wore a purple sari.  They, especially Colette, looked very beautiful.  The Maharajah’s son became fond of Colette.  When Ashvin, the Thea sisters and the prince were at a party, some monkeys came in through the window and stole all that was shining.  They even stole the prince’s emerald stone.  It was obvious that the monkeys did not steal food but they stole jewellery.  Then they find out that a monkey – catcher, named Gurnam, was catching monkeys from a place and training them to steal jewellery.  The Thea sisters go to the factory where the monkeys were kept.  So, the make a plan and Nicky and Pamela distracted the mice who were teaching the monkeys to steal.  Meanwhile, Ashvin and Paulina free all the monkeys.  After that, Gurnam confesses and the prince gets back his shining emerald.  This was a nice story.

289. Watch your tail!

This story was about how Geronimo Stiltonoot saves Old Mouse City from the Great Stomach-ache.  Two cunning rodents, Shifty and Shady Club, started a new clinic.  They mixed prune juice in the main source of water, which was in the cave of Memories.  Geronimo is the only one who does not get the stomach ache because his water supply systems were broken.  So he was the chosen one to go and find the cure for the Great Stomach ache.  His cousin Trap also accompanies him.  They fight all the obstacles and go to the cave.  Then they find the Club brothers.  They were mixing the juice because people will get stomach ache by drinking it and they will go to Club brothers’ clinic.  Geronimo tells all the mice in Old Mouse City and everybody comes and dishonours the two brothers.  So, at last, the Great Stomach ache was cured and victory was Geronimo’s again.  This was a very, very nice book.

288. Rivals.

This was a story about a boy named Danny James and his rival, Charlie Owen.  Charlie is a big show - off.  He does not like it when their head teacher, Judge Jim Henson praises Danny.  He does bot allow Danny to do or complete any of his work.  Danny gets punishment from his teacher because of Charlie.  there was a concert.  Their head teacher, Judge Jim Henson tells them both to play a song together.  They agree, but on the time of the concert, Charlie does not play well and makes Danny ashamed.  But, when Charlie was leaving, Danny called him for another round to play another song.  They both play that song very well and get the cheers of audience.  At the end of the story, they both make up and talk to each other politely and kindly too.  I liked this story book very much.

287. Up

This was a movie about an old balloon man named Carl who wants to meet Charles Muntz, a famous person form his childhood.  He grows up, gets married with a girl named Ellie.  They have no children.  They become older and Ellie dies.  Ellie had a dream that she wanted to build a house on top of a mountain near a waterfall called Paradise Falls.  So, Carl, as he was a balloon man, tied thousands of balloons to the house chimney and started flying towards the mountain.  In the middle, he meets a boy named Russell who wants to assist him to get an assisting badge.  He and Carl together fly in the house.  They also meet a beautiful bird and a speaking dog called Dug.  After half of their journey, they surprisingly meet Charles Muntz.  He becomes his guests.  But, Charles wants the beautiful bird, so he tries to kill the boy and the old man.  But, they are safe and rescue the bird.  This was a nice movie.
