116. My visit to Mahabalipuram.

Today, I was going to Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram).  Today was Saturday.  So, my mother woke me up at 7:30.a.m.  I woke up, brushed my teeth, took a bath and dressed up.  Then, my father and sister woke up and they also brushed their teeth, took a bath and dressed up.  Then, my father went down to take the car out.  Then, my mother locked the door and we came down.  My father took the car out.  I sat in the front seat.  My mother closed the gate and sat in the back seats.  My father drove through many roads which I am seeing the first time.  Then, he came to a place to eat breakfast.  I ate two pancakes (dosas) and again we started.  Then, we came to a place called Thiru Porur, in which there were many water melons.  I and my sister took many photos sitting near the water melons.

Then we reached Mahabalipuram.  There, first we went to Five Rathas.  There, we took the ticket and went inside. First we thought that we could take one or more pictures with the elephant there, but many people were there already.  So, I went near a statue.  That full Ratha was made up of one large stone.  So like that, the Five Rathas were made up of five large stones.  When I went near the statue, I was scared thinking that I'll fall.  But, somehow, I stood in a step under the statue.  Then, my mother and sister too joined me.  My father took a picture of me alone first, and then with my sister and mother.

Then I sat in a big and high rock near the statue.  No one could get into the rock.  But I climbed the rock by the step near the statue.  When I was getting down, it was sliding.  So, I got down by the step.  Then, my father took some photos of me standing in the front and my sister standing close to a small, round wall.

Then, I and my sister went into a small cottage like place, which was a small temple.  We sat on a step.  There was many sculptures of many Gods.  The place was dark and if we talk, it echos many times there.  The first time I entered, I was very scared of the darkness and echoing sound.  But after taking photos, I was spending half - an - hour inside the temple.  It was very jolly!!

At last, we got a chance to take a photo with the elephant.  So, my father took a photo of me, my sister and my mother.  There was an elevation in the elephant.  When I was rounding the elephant, I stumbled through the elevation and was about to fall.  But, I hold the trunk of the elephant and saved myself from falling to the ground.

Then, there was a board of Five Rathas in English, தமிழ் and हिंदी। .   My father read it in English as he can understand better.  He read it fully and we exited the Five Rathas.  There was ice - cream shop.  My mother bought me and my sister an ice - cream each.

                                                                  Part 2.
Then we went to India seashell museum.  There were two sections - 1. Seashell museum 2. Aquarium and others.

                                        Aquarium and others.

                                    Seashell museum.

First, we went to seashell museum.  There was a man who traveled 80 countries for finding seashells.  He had said the fishermen of each country's beach to go under the sea and find seashells.  We went inside the museum.  It was amazing in the entrance itself.  We started looking at the seashells when the one of the man's assistants called Aamina came and said the names of each seashells.  There were many colorful seashells which were original, but was like painted.  There were many vehicles like airplane, ship, jeep etc. which was made of seashells.  There were extra large and so small pearls.  There were gravel like seashells which will poke our feet.  There were oysters too.  That was very interesting.

Then we went to the aquarium.  First, we went to see the things like earrings, bands etc. made up of shells.  Then we saw cute earrings and exciting necklaces in an oyster - like opening.

My mother bought me and my sister an earring each.  We went inside the aquarium, enjoyed seeing the varieties of fishes and came out.  Then we ate our lunch where a pack of dogs were around us.

                                                       Part 3
Then we went to Arjuna's penance.  It was a long way.  We walked there somehow.  Then, I went to Krishna's butter ball. There I slided in the slippery path.  There was a large and huge stone which was Krishna's butter ball.  I, my mother and my sister took photos under the stone.  Then I came down and went higher.  Then, we came down and went to the beach nearby.  After bathing there, we saw Arjuna's penance, which was made of one rock.  Then, I came home, after enjoying so many beautiful things.

Then at last, my father took a beautiful picture of me, my sister and my mother.
