287. Up

This was a movie about an old balloon man named Carl who wants to meet Charles Muntz, a famous person form his childhood.  He grows up, gets married with a girl named Ellie.  They have no children.  They become older and Ellie dies.  Ellie had a dream that she wanted to build a house on top of a mountain near a waterfall called Paradise Falls.  So, Carl, as he was a balloon man, tied thousands of balloons to the house chimney and started flying towards the mountain.  In the middle, he meets a boy named Russell who wants to assist him to get an assisting badge.  He and Carl together fly in the house.  They also meet a beautiful bird and a speaking dog called Dug.  After half of their journey, they surprisingly meet Charles Muntz.  He becomes his guests.  But, Charles wants the beautiful bird, so he tries to kill the boy and the old man.  But, they are safe and rescue the bird.  This was a nice movie.

286. The Stone of Fire.

This story was about Geronimo’s ancestor, Geronimo Stiltonoot.  He was a cave mouse.  He lived in Old Mouse City and was the publisher of the Stone Gazette.  He does not type in computers, but he chisels all the news in stone slabs.  There was an antique thing called the Stone of Fire which was very precious.  One day, it gets stolen.  Geronimo and his friend, Hercule gets the help of a scientist named Fern Fossilfur and wanders from place to place in search of the stone.  At last they find out that the stone was with a wild feline, Tiger Khan.  Geronimo struggles in getting the stone, but Hercule comes and rescues the stone and also Geronimo.  At last, they restore the Stone of fire to the Old Mouse City Museum.  This was a nice book.

285. Whiplash.

This is a movie about a young drummer, Andrew Neiman.  He wants to join in the Shaffer Studio band, but the strict band – master, Terence Fletcher is not satisfied with what he is playing.  He practices hard, but he does not get joined.  At last, he gets dismissed form the band.  After a few days, when he goes out, he meets Fletcher.  He says that Andrew can play the drum for a band festival.  On the day of the festival, Fletcher wants him to play a song that he does not know.  He makes a lot of mistakes.  Then, the next song was ‘Caravan’, which he knew.  He plays very well and gets the cheers of the audience.  This was a nice movie and I liked it.

285. Hotel Transylvania

This was a story about vampires.  There was a young vampire called Mavis.  Her mother died.   She only had her father, Dracula.  It was time for her to celebrate her 118^th birthday, which is in our language 10 years old.  In her birthday, a human boy named Jonathan comes.  Dracula thinks that humans are the worst monsters.  Mavis likes him but her father, Dracula’ s friends does not accept it.  So, he begs and makes them accept.  As Dracula’s friends disagree the friendship of Mavis and Jonathan, he decides to go away in a flight.  But, Dracula tells him to come back.  Then only, Dracula realizes that all humans like vampires and they must also like them.  He comes back and the 118^th birthday of Mavis is celebrated awesome – ly.  I liked this movie very much.

                                             

283. Rango.

In English :-

There was a water – lizard.  It lived in a fish – bowl, but it breaks and the lizard falls off.  It wanders off and finds a wild boar – like creature.  That creature tells the lizard to wander through the desert and find Dirt.  The lizard did not know that Dirt was the name of an animal town.  There was scarcity of water.  So, the lizard goes there and tells those animals that it killed seven animals with one bullet.  When an animal asked what the lizard’s name was, it lied that it was Rango.  So, they make him the Sheriff of the town and ask him to find the water.  The Mayor of the city is the one who takes all the water.  When they were nearing the way to find water, an enemy named Rattlesnake Jake comes and attacks.  Just then, tanks burst open and water flushes all over the town.  Rattlesnake Jake becomes scared and runs away.  All the animals in that town finally get water.  This was a superb movie.

                                           

282. March of the penguins.

This movie was about the life of penguins, from their mating season to the hatching of the chicks.  Happy Feet, an animation movie was also based on the life of penguins.  The story was narrated by Morgan Freeman, a great actor.  This movie was directed on 2005.  In this movie, there were no humans, only penguins.  The backdrop was Antarctica, where most of the penguins live.  The part that I liked the most was when the penguins walk in a line, as school children walk.  The directors must have had a hard time in filming the movie, as Antarctica was the coldest region in the world.  The most important reason for the director to have a hard time is the penguins won’t listen to the directors.  If a director is taking a shot when the penguin is standing still, if the penguin walks away, what happens?  I like the movie very much.

                                

281. Happy Feet.

There was a penguin couple named Memphis and Norma Jean.  Norma Jean laid an egg and went off for fishing with other female penguins.  Memphis had the responsibility to look after the egg like all the other male penguins.  One day, suddenly, he drops the egg.  Then after a few days, the eggs hatch and baby penguins come out of them.  The son of Memphis and Norma Jean was named Mumble.  As soon as he hatched itself, his feet were dancing.  He was born to dance.  Singing never came for him.  He has a terrible voice.  Soon, he was admitted in a school.  He gets friends.  His best friend was Gloria, who was the best student.  There was an elder of the penguin group called Noah.  He hates Mumble from when he was admitted at school.  Then, all the school graduates go for the first swim.  They enjoy there and come back.  Just then, it was the mating season and Gloria dances and sings with Mumble’s dancing feet.  Noah does not like it.  So, he tells Mumble to go off.  Mumble wanders off and goes to some other place.  There he finds 5 amigos and they help him to achieve his mission.  When they come back, the elder, Noah tells that there is a scarcity of food in their town.  He accuses Mumble of starting the scarcity.  So, they become depressed and go wandering again.  Suddenly, Mumble sees a large ship taking away all the fish.  Soon, Mumble also gets trapped in it.  He was taken away to an aquarium and was the middle of attention.  Suddenly, his dancing feet starts dancing and he also starts dancing.  Like that, he escapes and comes back to his town and teaches all the other penguins to dance like his feet.  A few humans come to capture all the other penguins, but enjoy the penguins’ dance and they all go away.  Even Noah and his assistants start dancing.  Thereafter, there was no one to stop Mumble from dancing.

                                        

280. The Secret Ambition.

This was a book based on the twins, Poppy and Lolly.  Poppy wants to be a pop – singer, whereas Lolly wants to be a doctor.  Lolly came to Rockley Park school, where they teach pop – singing, only for her sister’s sake.  She enjoyed there, but too she wanted to be a doctor.  A film crew says to Poppy and Lolly that they are going to film them both doing catwalk.  Lolly was not interested but Poppy told it to everyone in their class.  One day, Lolly went inside the careers room to check if her ambition to be a doctor is good.  She gave her personal details and clicked ‘send’.  Poppy had a weakness.  She wanted her and Lolly to be the same.  So, Lolly changed her hairstyle to a bun.  Everyone appreciated her.  So, Poppy also put like that.  Son, Lolly changed to ponies.  When Poppy asks the reason, suddenly, Lolly says that she does not want to be the same as her sister and she DOES NOT WANT TO BE FAMOUS.  Poppy could not believe it.  So, she went out somewhere.  She returned with an envelope.  The outer cover was written ‘Careers’.  Soon, Lolly remembered that she had gone to the career room and had given her personal details.  When Poppy saw that Lolly wanted to be doctor, she became sick and went to the sickbay.  From that time, Lolly and Poppy did not talk to each other.  The next day was the filming.  Lolly did not have the interest to do the catwalk.  When it was time for an interview, Poppy told all that had happened between them the day before and they both became friends.  This book was like a higher – standard book compared to all the other books I have been reading.  This was a great book.
