251. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

There was a man named Indiana Jones.  He was an archaeologist.  He was a professor at an institute.  Indiana Jones had a problem.  He wanted to find the Lost Ark, and archaeological find.  At the same time, the villain, Rene also wanted it.  So, they meet a girl named Marion Ravenwood and ask her for her bronze medallion.  She gives it to Jones as he was her friend.  They both solve problems and mysteries together in a ship, in a plane, etc.  At last, the villain somehow manages to get hold of the Lost Ark and ties Jones and Marion to a stick.  When he opens it, a ghost appears and kills everybody including Rene and his army of men.  Jones and Marion become free.  Jones’ problem was also over.

250. Jesus Christ.

This was an Amar Chitra Katha comic book.  This was a comic book about Jesus.  This book tells us about the life of Jesus from when he was born to the when he went to heaven.  This was a nice book.  Jesus’ hometown was Bethlehem.  He traveled to many places and preaches many people.  They all follow him.  Some jealous people crucify him in the Holy Cross.  After three days, he again rises up.  That day is called Easter and the day he died was called Good Friday.  This was a nice book.

249. The Peculiar Pumpkin Thief.

This was an interesting book.  This book was about a Halloween mystery.  There was a clown named Chuckles.  He had a clown army.  Actually, he was a villain. He looted the pumpkins from every Halloween store in town.  He invites all the rodents in New Mouse City to his Halloween house, Mystery House.  There, he locks all the rodents and began looting all the rodents’ houses.  That time, Geronimo and his detective friend, Hercule Poirat goes to Chuckles’ office and challenges him.  They won the challenge and made Chuckles tell them the password to open Mystery House.  Then, they use the password and free all the rodents.  This was a nice book.  This is a small story, but there are many pages in the book.

248. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

This is the original of the movie 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' which I mentioned before.  This is a book written by a famous author called Roald Dahl.  There were some difference in the movie and this book. For example, the poor boy Charlie Bucket did not have father in the movie, but he had him in the book.  In the book, a chapter itself was different.  In the movie, the third room was where geese lay golden eggs.  But in the book, a room was not an egg room, but a nut room where squirrels test walnuts.  In the movie, the five winners were allowed to take only one family member with them, but in the book, every child except Charlie had their mother and father with them.  In the movie, Charlie and Grandpa Joe drink fizzy lifting drinks and go near the fan.  But in the book they don’t do that.  Mr Wonka won’t allow them to be the winners because they drank the lifting drinks and after some arguments they decide that Charlie is the winner.  But in the movie, straightaway, they become the winners and go to Charlie’s house to pick up his parents and the 3 grandparents.  In the movie, the children who are gone will not come back, but in the book, they all come back at last.  There were lot of changes in the book.  I won’t say book, because, it is the original.  So, there were lot of changes in the movie.  It was a nice book.

                                 

        And one thing, I finished reading this whole 190-page book in one night.

247. The Mystery in Paris.

The Thea sisters were going on a vacation to Paris, Colette's hometown.  There they meet Julie, Colette's cousin.  Then they look around at Colette's house. The thing that they liked the most was Colette's enchanting pink bedroom.  Julie was studying in a fashion designing school.  It was the end of the year. She had a fashion show to show the clothes she made.  But, her clothes get stolen.  They think that her clothes get stolen because her clothes were based on maps of the Opera House in Sydney.  After that, Julie gave Colette a pink shawl.  It was also based on an important part on the map.  The thief could not find it so he started following them.  That time, Paulina got an idea.  She said that she would sew a tracker at Colette's shawl and keep track of the thief if he steals Colette's shawl. The thief stole her shawl and went away  The Thea sisters followed him and to their astonishment, they found out that it was Julie's most encouraging professor, Prof. Le Blanc.  Then they together find out what he was searching for twenty years inside the museum.  At the fashion show, Colette wears and costume based on Europe, Nicky on Australia, Pamela on Africa, Paulina on South America and Violet on Asia, as these were the continents where they were born.  Though they come of different places, they are always together.  So, Julie named her clothes, Treasure Hunt, because they were hunting for friendship.  At last, Julie won the prize.  This was truly a wonderful book.

246. Magic Ballerina - 2 - Delphie and the Magic Spell.

As usual, Delphie was practicing in her ballet class for a ballet show.  When she danced, she did some steps wrong but did not care about it.  At midnight, when she was sleeping, her magic ballet shoes sparkled and took her to Enchantia, the magic world.  The problem there was the evil King Rat would not change Enchantia from the winter season to summer season until he married the daughter of the King and Queen, princess Aurelia.  So, Delphie had an idea.  There was a toad in the palace, called Priscilla.  Sugarplum fairy turned her into a beautiful princess.  Then, somehow, Delphie and the palace guard made the rat break the enchantment, by which the season would change into summer again.  After sometime, when Delphie and the palace guard came out of the King Rat’s palace, they heard him yell that the princess had turned into a toad.  To celebrate the sudden summer, they all danced in joy.  After sometime, Delphie was back in her bedroom again.  The next day, at the big audition, Delphie danced gracefully and got the important role.  It was a nice story.

245. Home Alone 2.

This movie is the 2^nd part of the movie ‘Home Alone’ about which I wrote a review.  In this, Kevin gets the ticket but follows the wrong man and get into the flight which was about to go to New York and his family went to Florida.  So, he booked one of the finest suites in the grand hotel called The Plaza Hotel.  He spent so much money on food, room service, etc.  He was happy for losing his family.  So, the receptionists came to know that he was alone.  So they decided to play a trick on him.  That time, he was watching a violent movie.  When the receptionists came to the room, there was gunshot in the movie.  So, they became scared and ran away.  Kevin also ran away.  That time he saw the two robbers who came in the first part.  So, he made a plan and won them.  He also became friends with an old lady, who feeds pigeons.  Kevin had two turtledoves, which Mr Duncan gave it to him when he gave money to him to give it to the children’s hospital.  The turtledoves were a symbol of love and friendship.  So, Kevin gave one to the old lady and he had one.  By that way, they would always remain friends.  Then, Kevin was reunited with his family.  This was a nice movie.

244. A Fabumouse School Adventure.

It was Career Day in Geronimo’s nephew Benjamin’s school.  There were five celebrities, including Geronimo.  They gave their speeches one by one.  During their speech, each celebrity wanted Geronimo to help in his or her experiment.  At last, it was a girl’s turn to feed their class pet, a green gecko called Spike.  At first, it ran through Geronimo’s shirt and at last, it ran through the hallway making Geronimo follow it.  Suddenly, Geronimo meets his old friend Veronica Stiffwhiskers, who during their school days won everything making Geronimo come second at everything.  She was the principal of that school now.  After that meeting, she went away and Geronimo went to search Spike who led him into the auditorium where everybody clapped and cheered for him.  Then at last, he met his old friends again.  This was a nice story after all.

243. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

There was a boy named Charlie.  He lived with his mother, Maternal Grandparents and Paternal Grandparents.  There was a man named Willy Wonka.  He was a candy man.  He had a chocolate factory.  Nobody goes in there because it was locked.  One day, Willy Wonka organized a contest.  He there were 5 golden tickets.  Each one was in Wonka’s chocolate bars.  The five winners were Augustus Gloop a little boy who was fond of eating, a rich girl named Veruca Salt, a little girl named Violet, who always chews bubble gum, a little boy named Mark Teevee, who acts like a cowboy and the last winner was Charlie himself.  They all go to the chocolate factory with one of their family members.  Charlie goes with his maternal Grandpa, Joe.  There were five places, which had one problem each.  In each problem, one child loses and goes out of the factory.  The reward was a lifetime supply of chocolates.  At last, after everything was over, Charlie wanted the reward.  But he also did a mistake.  He and his grandpa drank a bubble drink and flew upwards.  So, Wonka refused to give the reward.  So, Charlie gave back a chocolate that Wonka gave to the 5 children, the Everlasting Gobstopper which his enemy wanted.  When he was going, Wonka called him back and hugged him saying that he had passed the test because when his grandpa said that his enemy will have the candy, he came and kept it in Wonka’s table and found out that Wonka’s enemy was his assistant and he made him his enemy because he wanted to test the children.  Wonka not only gave the supply of chocolates but also handed his factory to Charlie.  It was a very nice movie.
