Rosa was standing in the line to get into the
auditioning to go into the Royal Ballet School.
First, Rosa went into a studio to dance.
She danced without any mistakes.
She was forgetting that there were examiners watching her and was
enjoying herself. Then she had to go to
a writing test. Rosa wrote as much as
she could about the dreams of becoming a ballerina. Then, they have to go to a doctor to check if
they were healthy. Finally, it was time
to do an interview with the school headmaster.
When Rosa was waiting for her turn, a mean girl named Sukie comes to
Rosa and tells her that there is a magic room upstairs and tells her to go
up. When Rosa goes up, she forgets the
way back and suddenly her magic shoes starts sparkling and she was whisked away
to Enchantia.
She is taken to the woods in Enchantia. She hears someone calling her name for help,
but she couldn’t figure out who it was. Just
then, a carriage comes and stops in front of her. Inside it was a fairy. She tells Rosa that her name was Serendipity
and she was Nutmeg, Rosa’s fairy – friend’s friend. She also said that she had come to take Rosa
to her palace. Actually, Serendipity was
the Wicked Fairy, dressed as Nutmeg’s friend.
When Serendipity gives Rosa tea cakes in her palace, Rosa completely
forgets about Nutmeg. After sometime,
Serendipity tells Rosa to remove her magic ballet shoes and give her beautiful
cut – shoes and a frock. Then Serendipity
secretly keeps Rosa’s magic ballet shoes in a cupboard in a forbidden
room. But, a maid blabbers something to
Rosa and Rosa finally gets her ballet shoes back. When she dances, the spell broke and the
wicked fairy, her maids and footmen return to their old, wicked selves. The wicked fairy did all this to prevent Rosa
from going to the royal palace because there was going to be a coronation
ceremony held and if only Rosa dances, the coronation will be made. But somehow, Rosa goes to the palace. In the way, Rosa rescues Nutmeg, who was put
in a big cage by the wicked fairy and who first called Rosa for help in the
beginning. Then, Rosa goes to the royal
palace and dances and the coronation is made.
Then, her magic ballet shoes bring her to the normal world.
After that, Rosa remembered all that had happened – Sukie
came and told her to go upstairs and she was there and she forgot her way back. Suddenly, Rosa remembered her way back and
went to the audition and she and her friend got selected for the Royal Ballet
School dance. This was a nice book and I
liked it.
