270. The stinky cheese vacation.

In this book, Geronimo’s uncle, Samuel Stingysnout, who is the stingiest mouse in the whole of Mouse Island, calls Geronimo and tells him that he is very sick and is going to die.  He says he has seven requests.  Geronimo, who is soft – hearted, goes to see his uncle right away.  There, uncle Stingysnout makes Geronimo clean his whole house, plant flowers in the garden, etc.  Actually, uncle Stingysnout was alright.  He wanted to turn his big house, which was like a castle, to an inn.  The first customer was the greatest female singer of Mouse Island.  When Geronimo says that this is not an inn but a house, his relatives, Thea, Trap and Benjamin come to him and give him a flyer.  In that, there was the castle and it said that it was an inn!  Geronimo was very surprised.  When he went to Uncle Stingysnout to scold him, he saw him holding a map.  He told Geronimo that there was treasure in the castle.  Together all of them go and find the treasure which was in the cellar.  The treasure was 10 rare cheese rinds!  How exciting!  When uncle Stingysnout tells that the 10 rinds are his, Geronimo’s friend, Hercule Poirat does not allow him to take everything.  He shared everything among the others.  It was a nice book, and I feel sorry for Geronimo because he had to do all this work!
